NextGen Research Day

NextGen Research Program

The NextGen Research Program is an interactive initiative designed for young researchers in pediatrics. It consists of three distinct modules:

  • Module I and Module II are part of the NextGen Research Day, which takes place on May 21st, 2025, in Bern.

  • Module III is held separately during the SPG meeting on May 22nd and 23rd, 2025, in Bern.

NextGen Research Day: May 21st, 2025, in Bern

Participants of the NextGen Research Day can choose between Module I or Module II.

Module I: How to develop a research project
This Module is ideal for those who are starting their first research project or have a fictitious research idea. Participants will engage in two interactive workshops led by experienced experts, focusing on methodology and presentation skills. Following lunch, participants will take part in a "Scientific Speed Dating" session, where they will present their research projects to experts and receive structured feedback.

Module II: How to lead a research project
This Module is tailored for individuals who have successfully initiated a research project and seek guidance on advancing their work. Participants will attend a comprehensive workshop led by a leading expert, choosing from two relevant topics. After lunch, they will participate in a "Scientific Escape Room" session, collaborating with peers to solve scientific puzzles and navigate challenges encountered in research.

Module III: Research Presentation: May 22nd/23rd 2025 in Bern
Participation in Module III, which involves presenting research at the SPG conference, is optional and not required for those attending Modules I or II. This module features the NextGen Instagram Session and the NextGen Podcast Session. Participants are invited to submit abstracts to showcase their research in either of these innovative formats.
